Re: I'm Going to Start Some Buzz About Flare
You and me both. I've been using RoboHelp since Blue Sky owned it, and I'm sick of it. Never bothered to upgrade to X5 from 9.2 ($500? $1000 just for .NET features?! I don't think so.)
I just completed a project that needed two versions of the help file for two versions of the application, and I was well and truly annoyed by RoboHelp's inability to generate two different tag-based TOCs on the fly. That, and the fact that after delivery I discovered that the client needed HTML help to integrate with a C# GUI, instead of WinHelp, and RoboHelp completely botched the conversion. I ended up spending days fixing the conversion (without billing the client, I might add), instead of hours.
Have you signed up for the beta tests?

Re: I'm Going to Start Some Buzz About Flare
Yes, I signed up, but I'm only accepted as a sneak preview user. So I have to wait for that. I'm currently relying heavily on the FrameMaker/WebWorks solution. Unfortunately, this solution is getting a little dated as I wait for Adobe to add some actually useful features to FrameMaker.
